Grace Rogers Brown

Grace Rogers Brown, 96, of Redfern St., died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dora Ferguson Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. Morris Brown. Mrs. Brown, along with her husband, founded and operated the Tastee Diner and Mayflower Restaurants in Asheville. She is survived by sons Charles Brown and Thomas Sanford Boyd. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Green Hills Cemetery, with Chaplain Butch Stillwell officiating.
