Grace Tipton Pruett

Mrs. Pruett was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Augusta Garland Tipton. She was married to Clarence E. Pruett who died in 1990, and she was retired from Farnum Mfg. Co. She was a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by one stepson, Jack R. Pruett and his wife Opal Lee Pruett of Leicester; one granddaughter, Linda Phillips; one great-granddaughter, Amber Phillips; one sister, Myrtle Alexander of Alexander and one brother, Fred Tipton of Leicester; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens with the Rev. Willard Pruitt officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
