Harley Garrett 'H.G.' Justice, 88, of 3 Wesley Drive, Apt. B, Givens Estate, died Saturday, February 20, 1999.

Mr. Justice was born in Candler and was a son of the late P.G. and Etta Cly Justice.  He was a retired house painter and was a member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club and Abernethy United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Lee Sluder Justice;  a son and daughter-in-law, The Rev. Henry A. and Renee Justice of Gastonia;  a granddaughter and her husband, Lee K. and Randall Black, and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Black.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Abernethy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Patrick Welch and the Rev. J. Oscar Dowdle officiating.  Burial will be at Skyview Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to Abernethy United Methodist Church, 1418 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806, or to Givens Estate Supplementary Fund, 2360 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
