Mills River~ Harold A. "Bud" Creasman, 76, died Friday, November 17, 2010 at his residence.
A native of Buncombe County, he was son of the late Frank and Mary Smith Creasman. He worked for the National Climatic Center for thirty five years as a printer and drove cars for Hunter Automotive and Landover. Bud was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church where he was a very active volunteer.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Bernice Redmond Creasman, a daughter, Kimberly Ann Ramsey and her husband, Timothy of Westminster, S.C. Also surviving are three sisters, Lucille Blair and her husband, Sam, Shirley Ann Allen and her husband, Frank, Darlene Layton and her husband, Phil all of Mills River and a brother, Jack Creasman and his wife, Pat of Arden. Bud is also survived by Bernice's sister, Alice Deweese of Asheville and by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00pm at Shepherd Memorial Park with the Rev. Sam McLamb officiating.
Memorials may be made to Biltmore Baptist Church 35 Clayton Road Arden, N.C. 28704.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

Bernice and Kim, My heart nearly broke when I got the email that Bud had died on Friday but in the next moment God reminded me where he was, home with our Lord and savior. I am so blessed to have known Bud for so many years. Bud was a wonderful example of how we should lead our lives. He was one of the most humble people I will ever know. Most Importantly I rejoice in knowing that we will only miss him for a short while, because we too have that blessed assurance that we will see him in heaven.
Dear Bernice and Kim,
Jessie and I wish to express our deepest condolences to both of you. Bud was an inspiration to so many people and he will be sorely missed. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for the loss of Bud. I have so many great memories of him as we were growing up neighbors and friends. He shared many adventures with our family. This makes me so sad and I know he will be missed by all who knew him and his quiet ways.
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the Creasman family in their time of grief. May the Lord comfort them in their loss.

I am so sorry to hear that Bud passed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I have such wonderful memories of Bud and you from Avery’s Creek Methodist Church.
I had the pleasure of working with Bud for several years at NCDC, and I never met a nicer fellow. He was alway friendly and easy to work with. All who knew him will miss his frequent smile. It was my good fortune to have known him.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your family’s recent loss. I know each of you shared a very special and close relationship with Bud. All of you remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of our time with Averys Creek United Methodist Church. You and Bud helped to provide the light, joy, and guidance of those formative years. It does take a village and I am very blessed to have had you and Bud as part of that village. I cannot begin to tell you how much respect my parents had for both of you. During this season of thankfulness, I am most thankful that I have those memories. Love and comforting prayers are extended to you and Kim and your family at this time.

I worked with Bud for a number of years at NCDC. He was always smiling, always easy to get along with. A perfect gentleman at all times. He will be missed.
Dear Bernice, Kim & Tim, We were so sorry to read of Bud’s death in the paper yesterday, but happy that we had the opportunity to know him and you all. We both have fond memories of working in the Federal Bldg. with him, but will always remember the great times we had at the lake.
