Harriet Olivia Rhoads

Harriet Olivia Bridgewater Rhoads, 79, of Asheville, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Mission Hospital. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Harry Reed and Gertrude Stiles Bridgewater. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Phillip Rhoads, Sr. Mrs. Rhoads is survived by her son, Jerry Phillip Rhoads, II; four grandchildren, Christina L. Vazquez, Monica R. Mendez, Angela M. Rhoads, and Phillip M. Rhoads; and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Chaplain Lu Ann Petitt officiating.
