Dear Family and friends,
I regret that due to airline weather delays I was not able to attend memorial services for my Aunt Hazel. I have been blessed to be a part of the Wright family and have Hazel as one of my wise advisors during childhood. Her love and values have had a large impact through-out my life. She was loved and respected by my wife Laura and our three adult children Haidee, Todd and Stacie. May God Bless and welcome her to life everlasting.
I have many fond memories of spending time with Aunt Hazel during the year that we lived in North Carolina – learning to play Canasta with her and Uncle Locke, sleep overs at their house. She was a beautiful and kind person and will be missed by all.
Dear Family of Hazel, how my mother, Beatrice Rice will miss this dear friend of hers. But what sweet memories she has of working with her at Bon Marche’ and eating out with her, etc. Hazel was such a gracious and kind lady.

Dear Sara and family members of Hazel. I am saddened by the departure from this life for Hazel. My mother, Bea Rice, will miss her terribly, since they had worked together at Bon Marche’ and became fast friends. Mother so enjoyed going out to eat with her and visiting. They had a lot of fun together. You will miss her, too, but can find comfort in knowing that she is now at home with Jesus! We know happy memories will be yours. We send our prayers. Our thoughts and prayers are will the entire family during this time of grief.
I have very fond memories of being with Hazel when I was younger.I always thought she was such and elegant lady. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
My heart goes out to each of you as you lay Hazel to rest. I have many fond memories of working with her at Bon Marche during my college breaks (in the 60’s.) She was a kind, caring and fun lady.
This is for Vergie. I knew and loved her long ago when I lived in Leicester. She and Ralph were friends of my Mom and Dad, Joe and Virginia Cole. I’m afraid I’ve lost touch over the years. Vergie, I hope you are well. I’m so sorry about your sister. I recognized the picture and read further. I don’t get home much anymore since my Mom passed away and I often check the obituaries to learn of the passing of my friends and relatives. It is a fact that we must die and leave this world but oh what a reunion there will be when we join our loved ones in heaven! My thoughts are with you all. Clara Ruth (Cole) Hulon
Vergia and family, you are in my thoughts today. May you find comfort through the grace of God and cherish Hazel’s memories to help you through the days to come. My love to you Vergia. You are so special to me and my family. Barbara
Dear Family,
I have been priviledge to know Hazel and due to it am blessed. I will miss her at Snow Hill Homecomings, and when I pass her home just knowing she is not there will saddened me. Her life left imprints on mine and I’m thankful for having known her. Heaven gets sweeter with the passing of each precious, dear one.
Dear Vergie and Family,
We were sorry to hear of Hazels passing. I’m sorry we couldn’t be there but, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
