Hazel Miller Davis

Hazel Lee Miller Davis, 81, formerly of 72 Hudson Street, Asheville, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Center. Mrs. Davis was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late William David and Ida Pope Miller and was married to Heller Harkins Davis who died in 1989. She was retired from American Enka and was a member of Zephyr Hills Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Gary M. Davis and his wife Kelly of Candler and David Keith Davis of Asheville, and three grandchildren, Jennifer and Caitlyn Davis of Candler and Bryan Davis of Arden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Gasperson officiating. Burial will be at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Zephyr Hills Free Will Baptist Church, 283 Shelburne Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
