Hazel Reed Riggins

A native of Asheville, she was a member of the Biltmore Baptist Church.
She was a graduate of the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, John; her daughter, Donna Lane Creasman-Downey, and son-in-law, James of Akron, Ohio; her brother, Paul Reed and sister-in-law Ruth of Winston-Salem, and friends, Anne and Gene Bessemer, Linda Hodges, Diane McElwain, Tracey Lynn and members of the First Congregational Church of Akron and the First United Methodist Church of Akron.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Friday in the chapel of  Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.  Burial will follow in the Gashes Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home, 72 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC.
