Hazel Rose Carringer, 81, formerly of Brookside Circle, Candler, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002.
Mrs. Carringer was born in Swain County and was a daughter of the late Jim and Lela Rose. She was married to Earl Carringer who died in 1986.
She is survived by one son, Gary Carringer and his wife Sandy of Asheville; one granddaughter, Candace Carringer; and one sister, Ruth Duncan of Candler.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Howard officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday at the church.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
