Helen Clarrene Bittle Hamilton

Helen Clarrene Hamilton, 91, of Deerfield Retirement Community in Asheville, passed away January 3, 2026.

A native of Arkansas City, Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Leland Holley Bittle and Lavenna May Stevenson Bittle Newland. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Hamilton.

She is survived by three children, Thomas Steven Hamilton, Mark Robert Hamilton and Wendy Lee Hamilton; grandchildren, Robert Bennett Hamilton and Coleman Lee Hamilton; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cooper, Amelia and Everett.

Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden. A private burial will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
