Helen Geraldine King Capps, 71, of Robbinsville, NC, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Harris Regional Hospital. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Earl and Allie Sharpe King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Capps, Sr., brother Howard King, and sister Lucy Jones. Mrs. Capps worked for Baldor Electric Co., and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Leicester. Surviving are her daughter, Tracy Lynn Capps; son, Ronald Eugene Capps, Jr. and wife Candida; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters Thelma Wines and husband Howard, Argylle Wells, Jeanette Teague, Glenda Henson and husband Roy, and Marie Parker; and sister-in-law Peggy King. Funeral services for Mrs. Capps will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Beulah Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ricky Wolfe, Daniel Stewart, and Jack Millsaps officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. At other times the family will be at the home of Thelma Wines, 31 Wines Dr., Leicester.

  4. Ronnie thank you and Candida for such a loving tribute to your Mother.She was a warm loving person who always took care of every one. Although we lived many miles apart she was a part of our family and her memories will live on as long as we do.
    Take care of each other and If I am ever down that way again I will make a point of connecting with you guys.

  5. There are no words to say at a time like this except that our thoughts and prayers are with the family. If I can help you in anyway just let me know. I would also like to tell my grandson ‘ Dalton ‘ how sorry I am, and if he ever needs me or if he would like to talk I’m always here for him.

  6. So sorry to hear about your mom!! Geraldine was a good lady and we had some good moments at basketball games! That was the good old days! I’ll be thinking of you all!

  8. What a wonderful person she was. We had a lot of good times at the auctions years ago. Ronnie she loved you so much and, I know how hard this is for youa and your family but. She is at peace now and, not suffering anymore. She is rejoicing with your dad and, they are together again. RIP always loved you Geraldine will never forget her kind heart.
