HELEN K. STEPHENS
ASHEVILLE – Helen K. Stephens, 96, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Aston Park Health Care Center following a long illness.
She was a daughter of the late Will M. and Trula Morgan Kirkpatrick. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Wayne O. Kelly and Jimmy Allen.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her sister, Nancy K. Cowan (Wallace) and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. David Christy officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff of Aston Park for their loving care of Helen, and memorials may be made to Aston Park HCC, 380 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806.

Nancy & Wallace, I was sorry to here about Helen. I tried to make it to memorial service. Wanted to say hello. I grew up at 54 Belmont and remember you two and Sam and Mr & Mrs Claude Cowan very well. Those were the good old days. I turned 68 in January, so it has been a long time. Your friend, Dale Robinson
