Helen Miller Dalton, 89, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2022, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge.

Mrs. Dalton was born May 10, 1933, in Asheville, to the late John and Oley Randall Miller. She was married to the late Clarence Lee Simpson and the late James Paris Dalton.

She retired as a relay adjuster after 35 years with Communications Industries (CII). She was an active member of Oteen Baptist Church and of the Red Hat Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonia Sherlin and her husband Ken; grandchildren Candice Freeman and her husband Shane and Kenny Sherlin and his wife Emily; and two great-granddaughters, AnnLeigh and AirLee.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Tunnel Road chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oteen Baptist Church, 37 Oteen Church Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
