Hilda Case Garland, 88, a native of Buncombe County, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Lane Case and Julia Wise Case. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Floyd Mann Garland; a brother, Robert C. Case; and a sister, Virgie Case Taylor.
Mrs. Garland was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr. will officiate.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Our dear sweet Aunt Hilda will be missed.
I’ve heard lots of great Aunt Hilda sotries! She was such a wonderful person. Family and freinds will be in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that Hilda has gone to her eternal home…She was such a sweet lady, and was a life long friend to my Mother(Mother-in-law) Helen Burleson, until she went to her eternal home in 2001.
Our sweet Hilda, thank you for being there for us when we needed you. Thank you for all the great family stories you told about Phil & Doug. I really enjoyed the time we spent together, with all the laughs and good cries we had. It is good to know you are in a better place with Floyd whom you loved dearly. We will miss you so much.
