  7. Rick, I’m sorry I didn’t speak at your funeral as we have been lifelong friends even though we had drifted apart for years. Man you sure could hit a ball when we were young, as it seems like we had to go hunt it every time you batted as it would be clear out of field and only ball we had. Thank you for everything all through life. Save place for us as it won’t be too long. May God bless all your family and loved ones.

  8. Tim so sorry to hear about your Dad,My prayers are with you…
Hope you are doing well otherwise………..

  9. To Howard’s Family We are so sorry for the loss. Howard was a dear friend to Bill and I. Working with him was always a learning experience, not to mention he was a nice man. Larry and Matthew McDowell wanted to send their condolences too. We are thinking of all of you at this time. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you all. Sandy and Bill Buckner

  10. Rick as we use to call him was my best friend in high school. We joined the Marine Corps together and left Asheville January 7 1969. While in boot camp at Paris Island we became separated and didn’t see him again until the summer of 1970 in Okinawa. I saw him on occasions for many years after service. We both had families by then. When became ill and moved to Florida I didn’t see him until he moved back to Asheville. He was my best friend and we had a lot of great experiences together. I only now got the news of his passing or would have been at the funeral. I will miss him like I would a brother.
