Hoy Glenn Johnson

Hoy Glenn Johnson, 64, of Bostic Place, Asheville, NC, died Saturday, June 3, 2000 at his residence. A native and life long resident of Buncombe County he was a son of the late Glenn Raymond and Carrie Edna Griffin Johnson. He is the husband of Nancy Jean Cordell Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a U S Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict, he was the former Vice-president of Ingles Markets and the owner of H & N Produce. He was a member of the Biltmore Lions Club and Biltmore Baptist Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Hoy Jeffery Johnson of Asheville; James Alan Johnson and his wife Diane of Cary, NC; Gary Edward Johnson and his wife Amy of Saginaw, MI; one granddaughter, Tessa McKayla Johnson; two grandsons, Logan McKenna Johnson and James Parker Johnson; three sisters, Faye Stakias of Greensboro, NC; Freida Wright of Marion, NC; and Joyce Peterson of Asheville; and one brother; Coy Johnson of Asheville. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at 11:00 am in Biltmore Baptist Church with the Reverend James Walker officiating. Interment will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
