  4. Mrs, Holmes, I am so sorry to hear of your husbands death. I extend my condolences to you and your family during this most difficult time. The kindness shown by Mr. and Mrs. Holmes to my family and especially to our daughter has touched us deeply. I will never forget the kindness of strangers who extended a welcoming hand when the Holmes introduced themselves as we moved in down the street. Mr. Holmes’ happy greetings every time we meet always brightened my day. He exemplified the ‘Love thy neighbor’? phrase. Mrs. Holmes, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Dear Susie & family:
I am sorry for your loss.
I knew Mr. Holmes when I worked for the Clerk of Court’s office in Buncombe County. He helped me so many times when an inheritance tax problem would come up with an estate. He became a friend to all of us in the Clerk’s office. He was missed so much when he retired.
He always lived his Christian life, so you can rest knowing he is in heaven.

  6. I would like to send my condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Holmes. I know how difficult this time is for you all and I just wanted to let you all know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hold close to your faith and to God at this time and he will not fail you. To Brenda- You are such a precious friend and I know how much you loved your dad – just keep the faith that you will one day see him again – what a glorious day that will be – all my love-

LOVE, MIKE, TARA, KAITLYN, ASHLYN, AND LOGAN HURST. <><.

  11. Dear Susie, Brenda and Danny,
Among some of my most precious childhood memories are those of being in your home and the kind and generous hospitality and humor that Isaac always extended to me and to other youngsters in the church and neighborhood. I can’t imagine your sense of loss; but I hope your memories of Isaac’s loving devotion to friends, family, and God will sustain and console you.
    With affection for you all,
    Larry Pate
