Iva Marie Knight Mullinax

Iva Marie Knight Mullinax, 79, of 223 Brickyard Road, Asheville, died May 12, 2005 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Dalus Edward Knight and Burdell Ingle Knight Rhymer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin McKenzie Mullinax who died in 2004; a brother, O’Neal Knight and a sister, Helen Banks Reese. She was retired from the Buncombe County Courthouse where she worked as a switchboard operator and was a member of Emma United Methodist Church. Surviving are her two sons, Bruce Ledford and Larry Ledford both of Asheville; two step-daughters, Carolyn Craft and Joyce Cicero both of Orlando, FL; a step-son, Harold Mullinax of Brevard; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Dan Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
