Jack Wiley Ingle

On May 4, 2016, Jack Wiley Ingle was welcomed on the side of Jordan by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Smith Ingle, and his two sons, Jackie and Kenny. As he arrived at the gates of That City, he was met by his parents, Dallas and Fleta Ballard Ingle, along with some of his siblings, Howard, Pret, David, and Clara. What a family reunion that has only begun. He is expecting the rest of his family to join him in the future including: his brothers, Lorne (Lorene), and Reuben (Charlotte); his son Larry and wife Tina; his daughters, Becky Dockins and husband Keith, and Brenda Sherman; his daughter-in-law Teri; and a very special niece, Debbie English. Along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Dallas, Meagan, Jaydyn, Skylar, and Emma; Daniel, Sarah, Denver, Bailey, and Savannah; Jake, Emilee, and Jacob; Jenny, Tony, Madison, and little Jack; Noël and Mike; Jeremiah; Desiree, Wade, Ayden, and Austin; McKayla, Travis, Payton, and Gavin; LeShea and Matthew; Heather, Katelyn, and Samantha; Dustin; Ashleigh, Lexzia, Zxavian; Brittany, Jersey, Ryland, and Wesson; along with many nephews, nieces, and a slew of cousins. He will be anticipating your arrival to complete the family circle. We would like to share a few fond memories of a great man. Some knew him as a bicycle delivery grocery driver; a farm attendant at Biltmore Dairy; a tank driver in the Army where he was also a boxer and champion horseshoe pitcher; or possible the story of the time he stole a German Soldier's motorcycle; a gas service station manager; or how about the baby food maker at Gerber; he may have bagged your groceries at Ingles. Possibly, he parked your car at Mission Hospital. You may remember all the veggies or fruit from his garden and trees, or the summers spent at the beach, sliding rock, and Pigeon Forge. He was also a Trustee at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He had an adventurist 86 years, but the most adventurous for him was being a wonderful son who cared for his mother, a good friend to all, a jokester, an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, the best uncle in the world, a devout Christian, and a heart for his church. To his family, he was simply known as Papaw. His greatest adventure will be in Heaven, when the family circle is complete. So prepare your life to join Papaw. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. "Ahhhhh flitter"
