Jacqueline Forrest Tomlinson Kiser, 98, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at the WNC Baptist Home. Mrs. Kiser was born in Richlands, VA, and was a daughter of the late Henry Grant Tomlinson, Sr. and Sallie Katherine Steele Tomlinson. She was married to the late Paul Kiser and she formerly worked as a secretary for the Tazewell Co., VA public school system. She was also a member of Abernethy United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jan Kiser; three sons, Mike Summey (Linda), Don Kiser (Laura), and P.D. Kiser (Carrie Lynn); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue A second visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at Dudley Funeral Home in Bluefield, VA. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Abernethy United Methodist Church, 1418 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806.
