James Arthur Beck

James Arthur Beck, 81, of Asheville, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Mission Hospital.

A native of Buncombe Co., James was a son of the late Hattie Bass. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked as an electrician.

He loved his family and they dearly loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his wife, Melba Lance Beck; daughter, Carol Beck Wilson (Ricky); son, James Edward “Eddie” Beck (Diane); grandchildren, Kaitlin Brown (Jason), Nathan Beck, and Joshua Wilson; sisters, Juanita Souther (Jerry) and Gracie Parham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
