James Robert Guy

Mr. Guy was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late James Marion and Lucy North Guy.  He served in both the Army and the Navy and was retired from the Asheville Parks and Recreation Department.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Joyce Guy;  two daughters, Karen Embler and her husband Terry of Alexander, and Terry Guy of the home;  a son, Tony Guy of Asheville;  a sister, Ruby Jackson of Asheville;  four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Revs. Joe Huneycutt and Gary Haines officiating.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
