Pappy’ was my Top Sarge in Sinop, Turkey in 74-75 with the Army Security Agency. He was a soldier’s soldier and took care of his boys like they were his own. He was an open honest man who always stood tall.
I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you. If there is anything I can do for you, you know I will be right there! I am very blessed to have been able to spend the time I did with him! He was a bright spot for me when I got to see him when I was doing your yard maintenance. Sending prayers and much love! Please do not hesitate to call me #9990
Jim was my First Sergeant at Fort Meade, MD , where I was his Company Commander in 1976-77. I met Mary Ann and the boys during that time. Later, when I was serving at the Army’s Hippodrome Site in Sinop, Turkey. Jim was the Personnel Division Sergeant Major at Arlington Hall, VA. He assisted me many times in getting good follow-on assignments for my soldiers at that isolated site. I will never forget his friendly and caring nature, along with his pleasant personality, and especially with his generosity with his family moonshine.
