Fletcher ~ James Theodore Garren, 68, of Fletcher, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Elizabeth House.
A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Charles and Pauline Souther Garren. He was also preceded in death by one brother, William Garren and one sister, Eldeva Sawyer.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2008 at Hooper's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dearest Mr. Garren,
Today is Saturday, October 4th 2008. John and Missy went over to visit you this afternoon and we learned that you had gone on to a much better place where there is no more suffering and pain. We are going to miss you more than words can say. We were so greatful to have you as our Poppa’s room mate. You were the best ever and we sincerely appreciate all the stories you shared with us. We are sad that we couldn’t have spent more time with you.
