James Wayne Hensley

JAMES W. HENSLEY DUNWOODY, GA - James Wayne Hensley, 86, of Dunwoody, GA, died June 10, 2010. Jim (Wayne) served as a member of the US Army in World War II. He retired from Lederle, a division of American Cyanamid, after over 30 years as a pharmaceutical salesman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne S. Hensley. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda & Jim Dellas of Atlanta, GA, Nancy & Steve Pierotti of Denver, CO, and Sharon Cahill of Houston, TX; son, Jimmy Hensley, Jr of Dunwoody, GA; his sister, Wynelle Carpenter and her husband, Dr. Max W Carpenter, of Asheville, and their children, Laura Sharpe and Pam Nicholson; and eight grandchildren, Michal Dellas Whitlock, Allison Pierotti, Jonathan Pierotti, Isaiah Pierotti, Timothy Pierotti, Sabrina Pierotti, Joshua Cahill, and Jacob Cahill. A graveside service, coordinated by Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue, will be held at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, NC on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 am. Military honors will be provided by the NC National Guard.
