Janis (Jan) Till, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1930 and lived in Philadelphia, North Miami Beach, Florida, Los Angeles, California, Asheville and Hendersonville. She worked as a model, an interior decorator, owned several thrift shops, and was an antique and dollhouse miniatures dealer well into her 70’s.
Jan was known for her sense of humor, zest for life, love of games and sense of style. She’s less known for her entrepreneurial and artistic abilities.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel Robinson and Bertha Kramer. She is survived by her daughter, Nadine Fidelman, son, Zachariah Till, son-in-law Edward Fidelman and grandsons, Tyler Fidelman and Shmuel David Till and Beryl Yosef Till.
The funeral will be held at Lou Pollock Memorial Park on Sunday, September 24th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chabad of Asheville, 660 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville, NC 28804.
