Jean Ellen Brady, 71, of Arborvale Road, Asheville, died Thursday, September 9, 1999 in an Asheville hospital.

She was a native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Sterling E. and Beulah McNutt Jenkins.  She was employed by Wal-Mart on Tunnel Road and was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was a great Mom to Charlene B. Allison of Old Fort; four sons, James T. Brady of Arden, Dennis E. Brady of Asheville, Karl L. Brady of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Steve G. Brady of Nashville, Tennessee; she was the sister of Wilma Byers of Laurens, SC and Lynn Jenkins of Swannanoa, and the late Elmo Jenkins of East Brunswick, NJ; she had six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12th in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Pete Banyai officiating.  Burial will follow in Lewis Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
