Jeffrey Thomas Morgan, 40, of 25 Motts Drive, Candler, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Morgan was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Carolyn Morgan Hendrix. He was a former employee of Aston Park Health Care Center.
Surviving are his wife, Terri Ledford Morgan; one step-daughter, Angie Black of Candler; one step-son Jeremy Stephenson of Asheville; a step-granddaughter; his maternal grandmother Mattie Morgan of Candler; an aunt, Tina Boza and her husband Marvino of Candler; and three uncles Randy Morgan of Asheville and Arnold and Rodney Morgan of Candler.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Memorials may be made directly to his family to assist with expenses.

Terry, we are so very sorry about you losing Jeff. I know these next months, years will be very difficult for you, but I hope you know that even though we really never got the opportunity to know you both that well, that we are your neighbors and we are here to help you in any way possible. Terry, i just want to thank you for being a good wife to Jeff. I always called him Snooks from the time he was a little boy.You took good care of him and gave him love and comfort and stood by him.We all knew that but above all Jeff knew it most of all. I will be here for you if you need me.
