Jerome “Jay” Delano Ziemianski, 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his home.
Jay was born on January 7, 1937, in Pennsylvania, to the late John and Gertrude Ziemianski. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lucille Ziemianski.
Mr. Ziemianski proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years. He later retired from the National Climatic Data Center.
He is survived by children, Linda Smathers and her husband of 26 years, Martin, Darlene Sidwell (Gary) and Wayne Palmer; sister, Juanita Nealer; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
His family will gather to celebrate his life on Tuesday, January 6, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
