Jessie McDonald Edmonds

Jessie McDonald Edmonds, 92, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Aston Park Health Care Center. Mrs. Edmonds was born in Macon County and was the daughter of the late Noah Blaine and Georgia Palmer McDonald. She was retired after 26 years with American Enka and was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Robertson and husband Larry, of Candler; son Joseph B. Edmonds and wife, Sarah, of Asheville; grandchildren, Teresa Taylor and husband, Anthony, Larry Robertson II and wife, Megan, Stephen Edmonds and Jana Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Briana Taylor and Ty Robertson; and a sister, Vergie Parker of Asheville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Jim Odum and Jay Bissett officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Robertson II, Stephen Edmonds, Eddie Holcombe, Anthony Taylor, and Jerry and Jamie Frady. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
