  14. I don’t know exactly where to begin. I guess it would be best to start with 7th grade field day at Sand Hill School where we first met in 1972.
David was the earliest and best friend I have. He was always generous with his time, spirit and witness for his faith. He raised two wonderful sons who both became excellent Boy Scouts.
He never complained about his many physical and health trials through his life; just faced them head on and bounced back. This time the bounce wasn’t coming for us, but for his next journey.
I will never think of cars, Myrtle Beach, tacos, or Christmas lights again without fondly remember David.

God spell in your heavenly Chevy Nova.

  18. David you always said that I stole your “pacifier” when we first met in the church nursery at Grace Baptist Church 58 years ago when we were three years old! As spunky as I was, I probably did!
Our lifelong friendship is a rare thing these days. Thank you for all of these years of friendship, especially the last four in marriage. We went through some very hard times, but GOD always brought us through whatever crossed our path. You have a new body now, no more sickness!
I miss you with all my heart, and love you even more.
    All my love,
    Lisa

  24. Lisa,
First, I am sorry for your loss. I had visited with him several years ago when he still lived on Pinedale. We stopped for a short visit on the way to Florida. The last emails that Dave and I exchanged he explained to me that he had remarried and was with his childhood sweetheart. Dave and I were neighborhood friends. He lived on what I called the back road (Pinedale) and I lived on Monte Vista. We had the wood in between our houses. I lived there in 7th, through 10th grade. I then moved to Colorado. Dave and I used to lift weights in his garage, (or what 2 skinny 7th graders considered lifting weights). And road his mini bike through the woods. We even built a tree house in a different set of woods. Those were the days. I had always hoped to get back down to see him but we get buried in our own family life. He was a good guy.
