Joanne Brooks Williams

Arden, NC – Joanne Brooks Williams, 85, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. Joanne was a former resident of Asheville, NC and of Englewood, Florida. Joanne was a native of Kingsport, Tenn., the daughter of the late Garnett and Elizabeth Light Brooks and wife of the late George Moore "Pete" Williams, who died in 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lance of Arden, NC and Charlotte Norton of Murphy, NC; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. No services are planned. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
