Joe Frank Hyatt, 79, of Marion, NC passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022. He was born on July 27, 1942 in McDowell County. He was the son of the late Wayne Hyatt and Lucy Waycaster Hyatt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Annette Freck Hyatt.
Mr. Hyatt worked as the Director of Public Works in Biltmore Forest.
He is survived by three sons, Ted Hyatt, Steve Hyatt and Dean Hyatt. Surviving in addition to his children is his brother, Dee Hyatt and sister, Dorothy Biddix.
He has many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Terry Hollified will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oakley.
