  1. John will be so missed. Such a gentleman and friend. Always loved seeing him at the Shrine Club. He was an inspiration.

  2. John Jackson and Martha are and have been two of the most wonderfully gracious people I have ever known. He was always been ready to greet us and give a giant hug to say good morning. Oh, I love this man and will miss him so.

  3. John Jackson was a true friend and brother in the Lord. I met John in 1993 when we moved to the Swannanoa Valley and became a member of the Geritol Duffers Gold Club. John was mild mannered but spoke his mind. He was always willing to help people and was respected by all who knew him. He will be missed! Our blessings to his gracious wife, Martha.

  4. John Jackson brought such joy to me often. At times I would answer the phone at my parents house and I’d hear ” John Jackson here” and it would create joy!! He was a dear friend to my dad, Bill Stanley. I guess they are figuring out a menu in heaven now… God be with you all.

  5. John Jackson was one of the finest Gentlemen I have ever met. He will leave a big void in the lives of his many friends. Godspeed old friend, we are confident you are now resting in Heaven.

  6. I’m heart-broken by the loss of my sweet Uncle John, and I’m devastated especially for all those he’s left behind – Martha, Brenda, Drew, David, Barbara, his grand kids and his great grand-children, and of course the many members of his extended family. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to spend so much quality time with him. I visited every opportunity I had. I am especially grateful I had a chance to tell him how much I love him. John loved his Martha more than anything in the world and worshiped the ground she walked on. In turn, Martha offered John a second chance at life. She showed him what it was like to be happy, what it was like to love, laugh and live. I feel that John would not have lived such a long and wonderful life had it not been for Martha. They made each other whole again and that does not go away with death for the spirit lives forever.

  7. We are so very sorry to learn of John’s death. He has long been a wonderful vibrant member of our church. Always warm and friendly. Gene remembers how supportive John and Martha were every time he taught a class. I remember looking for them at Reuter Center Singer concerts and being delighted when I saw them. They were always there.
He will be missed. Our love goes to Martha.
