Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I have fond memories of hearing Jack sing with the church choir and The Undertones as well as watching him perform and sing in Village Players productions. He was such a talented and kind man. You have my sympathies.

  2. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I do remember hearing about his wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches! May God comfort the whole family during this time and bring you peace. Cherish the memories!

  3. I met Jack when I was in elementary school. His wife Lyn was my teacher. As i grew up they were a part of my life. When I was a freshman they let me come stay with them for two weeks. Their family made me feel right at home. When I went into the service they were still with me. Sending cards and letters. They even came to see me once. When I had my son I asked Lyn to be his godmother, Jack was just as much a godfather. They always made a point to send cards to the kids. Lyn always signed the cards and letters, “Love Lyn and Jack”. They always made a point to stop and see us when they came home to visit. After Lyns passing Jack continued to send cards, and stopped and seen us. He will always be with me in my heart. He was a great husband, father and friend. Vary loving and caring man. Me and my children send are deepest condolences and prayers to his family.

  4. I was very surprised to hear about Jack having a sudden physical problem and being placed in St. Joseph’s Hospital. We, Myrna and myself met Jack and Lyn at Brevard Wesleyan Church at approximately 2004. Jack and I entered the choir at BWC and set next to each other as tenors! Jack and I felt that we contributed well to the choir as it was a blessing! Jack and I were also side by side members of the Connestee Falls Choral! We spent also every month at Jack and Lyn’s home regarding our Christian Small Group. And of course, we were invited to Jack’s home to enjoy “jacks grilled chees sandwiches.” We enjoyed spending some time with Jack’s son, Mark Daniel and his daughter-in-law, Lisa!

  5. My husband and I sat with or near Jack during worship services at Cornerstone. He always had a big smile and I often thought that he was probably a great father. He loved his family so much and was very proud of each and every one of you. I will surely miss him on Sundays and my heart is heavy. It was a blessing to know him and I look forward to seeing him again in heaven. Thank you for sharing him with us.
