John Oran Lee, Jr.

John O. Lee, Jr. Arden ~ John Oran Lee, Jr., 77, of Arden, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late John Oran Lee, Sr. and Elva Gregg Lee. He was also preceded in death by a son, Barry W. Lee, a brother, James T. Lee and a sister, Joann Lee Adkins. A US Army veteran, John was a charter member of the Arden Rotary Club and of the WNC Parrot Head Club. He is survived by his step-mother, Wilma Gregg Lee, of Fletcher; his wife of 34 years, Gail Gaulding Lee; two sons, David V. Lee and his wife, Jeanne, of Atlanta, GA and Robert G. Lee of Arden; one brother, Robert E. Lee of Fletcher and five grandchildren, Andrew, Heather, Brandi, Taylor and Katie. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 10 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
