JOSEPH D. GITTEMEIER
Joseph D. Gittemeier, 67, of Asheville and formerly of El Segundo, CA, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Emerald Ridge Health Care.
A native of Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late August and Dorothy Froelick Gittemeier. He was retired as an aeronautical engineer with Northrup Aviation and a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He made a difference on this planet and made the world a better place.
Mr. Gittemeier had four children with his former wife, Sylvia: Michele Gittemeier of El Segundo, Theresa Bituin and husband Dale of Atlanta, Edwina Gittemeier of Asheville, and Michael Gittemeier and wife Julee of Asheville. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Szedely and husband Frank and three grandchildren, Willie Seawak III, Alex Xavier Gittemeier and Haydn Gittemeier.
No local services are scheduled.
