Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I was a Claims Adjuster at Nationwide Insurance in Asheville in the 70s, 80s and 90s when Joe was over at State Farm in the same capacity. We always enjoyed talking shop about claims and seeing each other at the Claims Association meetings. We worked together briefly at State Farm in the late 90s over at Biltmore Square and that was special. My deepest sympathy to Joe’s family and friends. Gerry Huntley, CPCU, AIC, ARM

  2. We are so very sad and sorry to hear of our good friend’s passing. He was hard working and a great friend. We will cherish our great memories of our time together and never forget all the wonderful business meetings we spent together. You have our heartfelt love and sympathy. 😘😘😘😘

  3. Nola, Andy & Family: I worked with Joe for 25 years and loved him so much. He had more friends than anybody I know and will be greatly missed by many people. All of you continue to be in my prayers.

    Mary Ann & Tom

  4. Another Enka Village Kid has gone home. Joe was a really nice person and loved to dance and ride horses
I will miss him on Facebook.

  5. So very sorry my dear friend has passed away. Nola and Andy, please know I loved Joe and will forever have him in my heart. He was special, he truly was.

  6. Nola & Andy, I was so saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. I was privileged to have worked closely with Joe in the final years of his storied career with State Farm and have followed his exploits in retirement with much envy. My thoughts are with you all.
    Fondly, David Swann

  7. I was associated with Joe for many years during my work in the insurance industry but after we retired we only saw each other occasionally. It was a joy to be around Joe. He was one of the best men this world will ever know and he will be missed forever. Nola and Andy and family Bill and I wish to express our condolences and sadness during this time. We pray that God will comfort you as only HE can.

  8. Nola, Andy and family, so sorry for your loss, Joe will be missed by many, the memories that Joe and I made will always be special to me, we were friends since childhood. Joyce, Patsy and I send our Love, Thoughts and Prayers, we know he left all of you with so many happy memories and you will always have him with you in many ways.

  9. My condolences to Joe’s family. I knew Joe years ago when we were all younger; enjoyed square dancing with him and also double dating back in the day. He was definitely one of the good ones. Thanks for the memories.

    Fondly, Joyce Creasman Neal

  10. Nola, Andy and family: I’m so very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing.
My dad (Bud Noland) and Joe were first cousins and were always very close. Dad loved Joe very much and I will always remember the kindness that Joe showed everyone, in particularly my dad. Joe would come and pick up dad whenever he visited the cemetery, even as dad’s dementia progressed. His kindness and selflessness will always be remembered. Joe was like my dad – a truly special, loving, and kind gentle soul. This world was a better place for having had Joe in it. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.

  11. Nola so sorry for your loss. I remember all the good times we had square dancing and especially our beach trip with our Andys. Joe will be greatly missed.

  12. Much love to you, Nola, and to Joe’s entire beloved family. I was blessed to get to know Joe the past few years … What a beautiful man. My mother, Joyce Noland Setzer, loved him so much! And my cousin Louise Robinson certainly had fun with Joe at my expense when discussing politics! Love our get-together’s at Pisgah View Ranch, which, coincidentally, is closing a chapter this year. Joe, I look forward to being in better shape than I am now so that I can dance with you and yours in heaven! (Joe never ceased to amaze me and wear me out with his dancing!) Nola (and family!), we love you and are praying for you with unceasing prayers. Anything we can do… ANYTHING. Please call us at any time of the day or night. We have two guest rooms here for you and yours. Jacksonville is a great stop-over place. We would be happy to have any and all of you anytime. (Bill and Kathy Daniel, 31 Lake Run Blvd, JAX, FL 32218.
