Joseph Paul Rice, 70, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at CarePartners Solace Center.

Mr. Rice was born March 26, 1952, in Madison County to the late Paul and Glennis Crowder Rice. He spent his career as a truck driver, having owned and operated his own trucking company and at the time of his death he was driving for McGaha Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Trull Rice, daughters, Barbie Lane (Curtis) and Brandy Rochell Shook (Brandon); sons, Bobby Joe Rice (Kathy), Joseph Louis Rice (Morgan) and Chase Matthew Rice (Jessica); nine grandchildren (with two “on-the-way”); one great-grandchild; a sister, Sandy Rice, and brothers, Bill Rice (Robbie), Mike Rice (Alice) Gary Rice (Cindy) and Larry Rice.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
