Joshua D. Owenby

joshua owenby
Before the goodbyes . . . Joshua D. Owenby filled a room with his smile and love for others. A native of Asheville, NC, he was sometimes poetic and reserved, but other times he was boisterous and funny. While we can reflect on his life and how he would want to be remembered, he would most assuredly say “love one another” in spite of ourselves. His immediate surviving family: grandparents, Fred Owenby, Evelyn Taylor; his father, David M. Owenby; his mother, Pat Taylor, and her husband Jeff Taylor; Josh’s sisters, Kimberly Moss and Amber Eatmon and their families; and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life and too many to name. And yes, his longtime canine companion, Mason. As we say our earthly goodbyes he would say “I will be waiting on the eternal side for all of you.” A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler, NC. ‘Tenderly, may time heal your sorrow.
Gently, may friends ease your pain.
    Softly, may peace replace heartaches,
    And may warmest memories remain.’

  11. Jeff, Pat, and family, we are deeply sadden to hear about Josh’s passing. Oh, we have so many wonderful memories of some years ago, and the times he came and visited with us. Such a wonderful, well mannered young man with a big heart. Many, many times our thoughts reflected back and was like I could, picture and see him at NMH, our home and different places, with that Josh grin. You can be assured, that we will be remembering all, and lifting you up at Wednesday night service. Love, George and Hilda Balll
