Juanita Jean Leslie Burrell, 80, of 13 Arrowood Rd., Asheville, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals. A native of Polk Co., she was a daughter of the late Henry and Dora Lindsey Leslie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Curtis Burrell, Sr., her brother, Haskel Leslie and a grandson, William Edward Burrell. Mrs. Burrell is survived by her daughter, Freida Burrell and husband Ken Elliott, of Leicester; sons, Ralph Curtis Burrell, Jr., and wife Joyce, of Oteen, and Gwynn Edward Burrell and wife Hope, of Swannanoa; brother, Charles Leslie and wife Jeanie, of Hendersonville; grandchildren, R. Curtis Burrell, III, and wife Crystal, of Candler and Dawn McKinney and husband David, of Weaverville and great-grandson, Josh McKinney. A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Revs. Lanny Cobb and Daniel Feltner-Kapornyai officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mission Low Vision Center at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals, 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801, or to a charity of ones choice.
