Julia Marie Radcliff Gamble, 94, of 107 Cheerio Lane, Asheville, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in an Asheville hospital.
Mrs. Gamble was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Hillary and Kitty Martin Radcliff. She was also predeceased by her husband, Claude E. Gamble, a sister, Ossie Hanlen, and three brothers, Frank, Walter and Carlos Radcliff. She was an active member of the Zion Christian Assembly.
Surviving are three sisters, Flossie Parham of Leicester, Argylle Baldwin of Asheville and Dicie Revis of Rutherfordton and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm Sunday at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with William and Deborah Brittain officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Julia was a wonderful tenant. I wish all the tenants were like her. She always had the same smile whenever I saw her. She will be greatly missed by all the tenants and myself. So long for now Julia. Hope to see you again some day. Marilyn – Site Manager, Arrowhead Apartments
