Asheville Butterfly TrailMrs. Norris was born in Buncombe County as the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Harris. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and the wife of the late James Norris. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and a sister. She was a former employee of Magnavox and Beacon.
She is survived by her son, Roger Dale Norris; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a half brother, Robert Harris of Marion.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
