Kathleen Anderson Myers, 82, of 209 Crowell Square Court, died Thursday, August 26, 2010.
Mrs. Myers was born July 23, 1928, in Wayne County, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Anderson. She was married to the late Otis Myers.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathy V. Myers of Asheville; a son, Cecil Myers of San Francisco; a sister, Effie Mitchell of Dudley, NC and a brother, Jessie Anderson of Missouri.
For those wishing to pay respects, she will be interred Monday, August 30, adjacent to her late husband, Otis. It was her wish for no graveside service.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to CarePartners Hospice Solace Center, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, or to any hospice.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.

Kathleen will be greatly missed. She was an interesting, articulate lady. Visiting with Kathleen always brightened my day. Even though she was not well herself, she always was showing concern for others. I will miss my friend.
