Katy Lou Lewis Bridges, 94, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Pisgah Manor Health Care.
Mrs. Bridges was born November 9, 1926, in Madison County to the late William A. and Runie Ebbs Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Reeves Bridges (2016); son-in-law Michael Green, daughter-in-law, Donna Bridges, granddaughter, Melissa Bridges, and siblings, Melba L. Mashburn, Catherine L. Burnette, William A. Lewis, Jr., and Jerome E. Lewis.
Mrs. Bridges retired from the town of Biltmore Forest where she served as Bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of Abernethy United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Green; son, Lewis R. Bridges; grandchildren, Nicholas Bridges (Lisa), Justin Green (Catherine) and Stephanie Green Craig (Ryan); and great-grandchildren, Lexi, Carter, Colby, Maci, Parker and Hunter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly Crissman officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Abernethy United Methodist Church, 1418 Patton Ave., Asheville, NC 28806.

Sharon and Lewis it’s hard to lose a mother, so no words to say to comfort you. Katy was one of a kind for sure. She got to live a full lifetime. Her memory will always be with us
