  2. I’m so sorry to hear about Dale’s passing,Dale was my favorite customer at Prestige Cleaners in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was always full of life and cutting up with me every time he came to my store. He would always talk about his family, He loved his children Benjamin and Grace. When I would have to work on Saturday’s he would always come and drop off his clothes and we would talk and he knew as much of my family as I did his. He was such a sweetheart. Sending prayers to his family ❤️🙏❤️🙏

  3. Dale was a great mentor, teacher, friend. He was a special light in my professional life and I looked forward to seeing him yearly as he made his way around country. He will be truly missed by many of us in the health care community and especially by me.

  4. Dale was a wonderful consultant. I always looked forward to seeing him. He made learning fun and took pleasure in helping us make improvements. He was always quick to respond any time questions arose later. I loved talking food and family with him. He was a sharp dresser! Such a big loss for family, friends and his professional community! I will miss him. Prayers for peace and comfort for Will, family and friends.

  5. The world is a smaller, meaner place without Dale. He will be missed by all of us here on the West Coast who looked forward to his visits because of his knowledge, his humor, and his kindness. Thank you for sharing him with us, we will miss him greatly. Peace be with you.

  6. Saddened by the loss of this amazing teacher and friend, Dale Brown. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work closely with Dale over the past 3 years. He carried so much experiential knowledge that he shared so willingly with others nationally to improve quality and safety in healthcare. His contributions to improving healthcare lives on with the far reaching impact he had on the people he worked with and the processes he influenced.

  7. Dale was a fantastic dynamic and entertaining consultant that I loved to work with. He was so intelligent but fun at the same time. It was always a delight to work with him and learn from him. I know that he loved what he did because it showed in all he did. I cannot say that I have enjoyed a systems review as much as I did when working with Dale he really knew how to bring out the best in people. Never will there be an individual with his dynamic characteristics that can match his enthusiasm and dedication. Sending many blessings to family and friends at this time of loss.

  8. I have known Dale since 1976. We attended undergrad and graduate school at UAB together and boy are there stories to tell! Dale & I were always having fun, laughing and getting in trouble! I wish I could share some stories but I would probably go to jail!!
I have many, many wonderful, fun memories of Dale. He has been a true friend through thick & thin. I have walked on Miami Beach, Panama City Beach and Folly Beach with my loving friend. He was the best of the best….a gay guy friend who you could share recipes with, giggle with and get a pedicure with. So many memories. Dale’s spirit and love will live on with me forever. I miss you and love you.

  9. I have known Dale for over 15 years as a TJC consultant for several facilities. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and was so knowledgeable about accreditation standards. He made mock surveys quite entertaining and provided educational information to staff in such a kind and consultative way. He will be missed as a colleague and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

  10. Dale was a dedicated nurse and he was admired greatly by the accreditation staff at VA Puget Sound. He was an excellent teacher. We will miss him greatly!

  11. Dale was dearly loved by all who knew him. I’m sure he’s entertaining a host of family and friends in Heaven now. He will be missed greatly!

  12. Dale was a wonderful mentor, resource for all things related to accreditation and more recently a kind and encouraging friend. His knowledge combined with good clinical assessment and humor made him an absolute joy !
I am deeply saddened by his passing and pray he is in a better place.

  13. We fondly remember Dale – his warm smile, pleasant demeanor and quick wit; and express our sincerest condolences to Will during this difficult time.

  14. Dale was a wonderful amazing man. I will cherish all the memories I have of him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Much love and hugs.

  15. A very professional and kind gentleman who did our Pre-Joint Commission surveys at the VA SORCC. I always appreciated his input and genuine concern for us here at the VA SORCC. He will be missed and I am very fortunate to have seen him one last time this year before his unfortunate passing. May God bless him.

  16. I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Dale. Over the last 8 years I always looked forward to seeing Dale in Southern Oregon and learning from him and our frank conversations. He was a cornerstone of our oversight, and he will be missed by all he touched. My heart is full of sorrow knowing that this incredibly compassionate man that found humor in even the tensest times is gone. The task that we carry, the oversight of safety and the quality of care of Veterans is a serious one, Dale led us down the undaunting path with a smile at breakneck speed.

Having retired, Dale was one of those, I would miss, but I made time to visit with him during his last visit. I consider Dale a friend :). I will miss Dale’s intensity, knowledge, support and most of all, his openness of who he was. We left with a hug that I will cherish forever.

Godspeed my friend and blessing to your family.
    Jay

  17. Blessings and prayers for Dales family and friends. I leaned much from his sage presence and joy. He was such a force for all aspects of nursing, for which I am very grateful.

  18. The world lost a real “one of a kind” human being at the passing of Dale Brown. I’m so very saddened that he died so young and I send my condolences to his husband Will and all of his family and friends. I was fortunate to have consulted with Dale and loved his direct, yet loving way he communicated with and worked with the staff at hospitals and clinics. I’d hazard a guess that because of his wonderful consulting style, amazing staff education, and professional passion for safe patient care, that Dale saved countless patient lives through his work. Rest In Peace Dale.

  19. My best friend. He had a thousand stories, and was also was an accomplished pianist, having recorded a CD of his favorite Church music. We worked together for over 20 years. Rest in Peace Dale Brown. May Heaven relieve your suffering.
