Kevin Earl Brown, 57, of Weaverville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Asheville Specialty Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., Kevin was a son of Bobby Brown and of the late Helen Ann Warren Brown. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky and Robert Brown.

Kevin loved helping people, and never knew a stranger.

In addition to his father, Kevin is survived by his wife, Carol Shook Brown; sister, Kristi Brown; aunt, Irene Guy; and beloved nieces and nephew Alex, Allie and Cameron.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.

  11. I am heartbroken to hear of Kevin’s passing. I have known him since we were little kids. He was a very personable sweet man. I know he loved you Carol and was the happiest that I had known him when he met you. Kevin was a family man and you all. Kristi, Bobby and Irene, I am deeply sorry for your loss. He will be missed.   12. Carol & Family – Kevin, what a sweet, kind, caring, funny, generous man. You hit the jackpot when you met him & he loved you so. No doubt about it, you two were made for each other. Wish it could have been a lot longer, but your love for each other will last forever. I know it will be hard without him, but we can thank our good Lord above that we have that precious promise that we will get to see him again one day. Until then we’ll have to carry on.   14. Carol & the family : I am so sorry for your loss of Kevin. It seems like yesterday when I first met Kevin, at your and his wedding and it was such a precious wedding. I could feel the love between you both try to remember how much that you both loved each other this will help guide you during this hard time. I ask that God give you strength and he will. I loved to see the pretty cakes that Kevin would make and post them on FB. I said oh they look so yummy. Just know that we love you and I am sorry that your having to go thru this. We are here for you anytime. You will see him again with our family we all will have that grand reunion that the Shooks used to have. I do miss those. with Love always Carol .   20. I only knew Kevin for a short time as his nurse while at Asheville Specialty Hospital. He was a very sweet man who loved his family more than anything. It was a joy to take care of him and I know he will be missed by many.
