Larry Lane Spears, Sr., 75, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at his home in Asheville.
Mr. Spears was born in Richmond County and was a son of the late James Henry Spears, Sr. and Lemier DeLacken Spears. He was a retired loan officer with First Union National Bank.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy Lynn Spears Jones; sons, Larry Spears, Jr. and Mark Alan Spears; the mother of his children, Carol B. Spears; two sisters, Lynn Floyd and Lisa Wheeler Beresoff; two brothers, James Spears and Greg Wheeler, and five grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the Spears family.
