I haven’t seen him in a long time, but I know that he and my father have remained good friends and stayed in touch with each other. I only ever remember him smiling and laughing. I remember playing with Zeke when we were younger and our fathers were working together. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

    Much love,

  7. Larry and I had 4 great years together in High School. We lived in the same neighborhood, shared the same classes, the same jobs and had a blast together. All those great times in that black Corvair and that big old Riviera. Cheech & Chong, Mad Magazine and Jimmi Hendrix were all a part of it.

I’m very sad to hear of his passing and his family will be in my thoughts.

Heaven is a brighter place this day as it has welcomed another angel. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you now and always…

  9. I knew Larry as a teenager. We were in the same graduating class, and naturally, on learning of his death, my thoughts returned to that time. In my mind’s eye, I see a smiling, pleasant young man, who was friendly and respectful of others. As I read of his accomplishments since high school, I am not surprised that he is remembered as a well regarded member of the A-B Tech faculty. To his family for whom his sudden absence will prove the most difficult, I wish you the strength you will need during this time, as well as the additional strength necessary to support one another and to recall and share your fondest memories of Larry, all of which will bring you a little closer to the comfort others obviously wish for you.

  10. May your family be comforted by the sweet memories that you leave behind, and the friends who cherished your company all these years. It was with sadness that I learned of your death from our classmate. We have all been blessed by knowing you.

Larry, Jeanie and I have been friends since first grade at Biltmore school. We were neighbors in Oakley. Later on all our families moved to Haw Creek. Once again we were together during high school and graduated from A.C. Reynolds. He was a very dear friend and I’m going to miss him more than I can express in words. I feel extremely blessed that we all were able to be together one last time at the reunion. It felt just like the good old days. Even if for only one night, it was the early 1970’s and we were all teenagers again.

Larry will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him well. Please know what a special person he was. Larry will remain in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to have been his friend. He was one of a kind and the impact of his passing will be felt for quite some time.
