L.B. Simpson didn't know a stranger. His love was stubborn, loyal, and strong. We are honored and blessed that he belonged to us and that we belonged to him. He was Dad, Uncle Bart, and Papaw to many. He will forever be in our hearts.
L.B was active for many years with TKD, assisting in district competitions and tournaments, and had received several awards because of his participation in the program.

Portia, I will try to talk with you soon but wanted you to know how sorry we are for your loss. Watching the video brought back so many memories of L.B. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many. You will be in our prayers during this difficult time.
Papaw was always loving and kind to me. He was an intricate part of my childhood and I wouldn’t have become the man I am today without many of his lessons. He made me laugh and held me if I was hurt until it was time to brush it off and pick myself up. I love you Papaw and know your in a better place with no suffering. My dear family, I love you all and will continue to keep you in my prayers and heart. Portia, your love for LB lasted through all these years and is an example of what true love can endure, Mellissa and DD you all are so strong and Papaw would be so proud of your strength. I love you all, lean ion one another, and hold onto the wonderful memories we all had with Papaw, Dad, Husband, soldier, friend, and wonderful man LB Simpson.

Portia and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. Find strength in the memories and hold them close to your heart. Time will make things easier, but the emptiness will always be there. May God be with you and your family during this time.
Portia,Melissa, Deidre! You lost not only your husband, father but also your best friend. I knew L.B. As well as one can know another person. Honestly, His love for each of you is what most men only can dream a bout. But, above everything, we all still have the wonderful memories that was shared with L.B. So genuinely sorry.
Uncle Bart liked to talk tough but he was really a big ol’ teddy bear who never met a stranger and never passed up an opportunity to make someone smile. He loved so many of us kids, grand-kids, nieces, nephews, grandsons and granddaughters, each of us knowing that we were the ‘most special’ to him. This is because he is truly the ‘special one’. We miss you Uncle Bart but we know it won’t be long and we will see you again!
Portia and family,
We are so sorry for your loss, but the good memories and love we can keep forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you go thru this most difficult time.
